Death-Walking-Terror

I haven't sat down and created a proper drawing in a long time, especially not for devART. Just about all of my stuff here is either digital or photography. I'm hoping to change that though. Seeing as I'm going to be building up a portfolio soon it's the perfect oppurtunity to flex my skills.

I've just started getting into digital painting. I've had one crack at it - http://death-walking-terror.deviantart.com/art/Spawn-63245243 - and while I'm quite satisfied with it, I could do with some help. Anyone who is reading this and knows any tricks, tips or techniques, the knowledge would be greatly appreciated. I'm also wondering of there are any magazines available that are either solely about digital painting or regularly feature it. Online tutorials would also be handy. Help a brother out :P ! Where to start? A little about me- My name's Jez, I'm 17, I live in Nottingham and my screen name comes from a Cannibal Corpse song :D I'm a huge Death/Black Metal fan and my favourite bands include the likes of Darkthrone, Mayhem, Celtic Frost, Deicide, Pantera, Beastie Boys, RUN DMC, Public Enemy, CKY, GnarKill, Cannibal Corpse, Napalm Death, Brutal Truth, Walking Corpse, Kreator, Gorgoroth and a whole load of others too extensive to list! I've seen CKY, Clutch, Viking Skull, Celtic Frost, Watain, and Kreator live and I'll be seeing Gorgoroth in November. I'm an avid gamer. I currently have an XBOX (used to have a PS2 and a Gamecube)
